"I had never had Jamaican food- but me and my friends were feeling adventurous. The food and service was great. Our waitress was really helpful and we liked it all! We got the jerk chicken, curry chicken, curry goat, and oxtail.“

“You can NEVER go wrong with Caribbean Breeze! Vincent is a pleasure and ALWAYS worth the travel there from the North.

Portions are made to order AND very generous! !! Every meal comes with a side salad, HOT bread & plantains.

While escovitch fish is my fav, its always hard to choose from the oxtails, curry goat & jerk chicken. So, I always bring a family member or friend that way I can dip in their plate(s).

Then, while I usually have leftovers due to large portions, if I share, it's almost impossible for me NOT to order at least a pattie or even full plate of something I didnt order at that meal, to go.”

Yelp

“Many reviewers gave them high marks (average 4 stars). They are open Tues-Sat 11am-8pm. One tip: reviewers say the Oxtail Stew is excellent.

The restaurant specializes in Caribbean cuisine and reviewers say the Jerk Chicken and the Crab Patties are both good menu choices. According to reviewers, the cuisine focuses on mostly Jamaican favorites (and it is very traditional). The prices are between $10-$30 and the portions are described as 'huge.'

Dining in the restaurant is a casual affair. It's also a good place to come if you're eating with children or coming in a group. The noise level is described as quiet, though they are apt to be playing music (lots of Bob Marley). They do not serve alcohol and there is no outdoor seating. The recommended attire is casual.

Reviewers couldn't say enough about the service: very hospitable and accommodating. They do accept credit cards and there is parking available in a private lot. Finally, they do accept reservations, though reviewers say they did not need them and were seated immediately.”

"One type of cuisine that has certainly been inadequately represented in Sacramento is Caribbean.

Thankfully, Vincent Semper and his wife Amelia are rectifying that. Caribbean Breeze Cuisine Restaurant opened its doors in August and offers a number of Caribbean specialties right here in Sacramento. Semper hails from the Virgin Islands, while Amelia once called Panama home.

Together, they fuse their love and knowledge of food from the Caribbean region and are now sharing that passion with Sacramento-area residents. Look for specialties like stewed chicken, curry chicken, rice and beans, stewed oxtail, jerk chicken and island-style fish."

“I took my husband on a lunch date to this place and WOW!!! Everything we ordered was amazing from the dinner rolls which were hot and fresh (cold bread pisses me off) to the curry. Each bite was better than the one before.

I ordered the Caribbean curry chicken while my husband had the Jamaican curry goat. We always order something different so that we both can try a variety of different menu items. I don't have one bad thing to say about this place or the service.

Vincent, the chef, was a one man crew when we went and although he had just recently had a dentist visit and couldn't talk much he provided world class service. It was like being at my grandmother'a house for Sunday dinner.

The restaurant was spotless and welcoming and bright. It's the kind of place that you could sit at the table and take a nap just so you could wake up and order something else. My husband and I both left happy and full. Try this place!!!! You won't regret it. Even if you're dieting.”

“People in Sacramento love it. Taste buds went into full effect just by walking in the door, Caribbean aroma, great food, nice quiet place to enjoy your meal.”
